Lisa Canning is a mom of eight who believes in possibility! Lisa has become a recognizable space in the interior design and entertainment industry, as the designer on HGTV's Marriage Under Construction, working on the design team of The Property Brothers, and hosting regular live lifestyle segments on shows like The Marilyn Denis Show.  In her book, The Possibility Mom, Lisa shares her story about how she went from a life of simply surviving to a life of fulfillment, freedom and joy! She provides insight, wisdom and actionable steps for moms juggling work-life, home-life and everything else to design the life of their dreams. Listen in to hear more about her story and insights into motherhood and how to juggle all the things.

In this interview, Katie shares her work, current projects and what inspires her as a mother and an artist! We hear more about her journey as an artist, where it all began and how it continues to unfold today..She shares the story behind her paintings how she is able to capture a connection and emotion through her work and we even feature one of her most recent paintings Love Runs Deep.

Katie talks about her Mindful Mothering project, Painting on Purpose as well as her customized paintings.

At the end of the interview she shares her tips on how to use art to put our emotions down on paper. Enjoy listening in to her story and insights!

  • Interview with Sue Doherty 4/16/2020

In this interview, you will hear more about Sue's story and her inspiration behind her book Dancing with your Baby: The Science of Nurturing Infant and Caregiver through Music and Movement. 

She shares more about her journey through different areas of work, motherhood and mindfulness! 


More about Sue:

Sue Doherty, M.A is an anthropologist, certified mindfulness teacher and author. Her background includes certifications in acupuncture as well as holistic nutrition counseling. Sue's book Kinergetics: Dancing with your Baby for Bonding and Better Health for Both of You, was published in 1994. In 2017, after a decade of collecting scientific research to support the original work, she published Dancing With Your Baby: The Science of Nurturing Infant and Caregiver with Music and Movement.


Sue has been meditating, practicing yoga and using movement as therapies since the 1970s. She has applied mindfulness-based behavioral interventions with infants and special needs toddlers and students k-12 and with clients who have mental illness. Sue has taught Introduction to Mindfulness and more advanced mindfulness classes to the general public. She is a graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, certified through UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center.


Sue currently offers one-on-one mindfulness coaching and is busy with a couple writing projects.
